Job summary

Hedra in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and deploy the backend services that power our creative brainstorming and creation products. You will work on web and video standards to power our suite of web-based image and video creation/editing tools.

You will deploy backend services and APIs to AWS, write secure, scalable Python code, and integrate with Postgres, Redis, S3, and DynamoDB to implement event streaming and processing logic.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building backend services.
• Experience developing scalable services using Python, using frameworks such as FastAPI and Pydantic
• Experience building and scaling cloud-based infrastructure leveraging Kubernetes and EKS
• Experience working with relational databases

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy backend services powering our creative tools.
• Develop APIs and deploy to AWS infrastructure.
