Job summary

SoTalent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative team building scalable APIs and backend services powering ecommerce and loyalty experiences. You will design, develop and maintain high-performance REST and gRPC services in .NET, mentor junior developers, and help steer technical direction across the engineering function in a fast-growing company.

You will work with cloud platforms, containerization, and event-driven architectures to deliver reliable and scalable solutions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise software development with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience in ecommerce or high-volume transactional environments.
• Strong DB experience: SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB or Cassandra).
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Containerization with Kubernetes or similar.
• Event-driven architectures and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus).
• Strong software engineering principles, testing and scalable design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST and gRPC services using .NET and C#.
• Build scalable backend solutions for digital commerce and customer engagement.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Produce clean, well-tested code prioritizing performance and reliability.
• Create and maintain API documentation and technical standards.
• Monitor performance and optimize opportunities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support critical applications when required.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering practices.
• Drive continuous improvement across development processes and architecture.
