Job summary

Mytra is building a robotics-powered platform to move and store material in warehouses. The backend team orchestrates the live fleet of bots, planning routes, tasks, and state across the system to keep operations efficient.

You will design and maintain backend services, integrate with WMS data, and collaborate with product and customers to deliver reliable orchestration in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Experience building production software solving search, routing, scheduling or planning problems.
• Familiarity with multi-agent path finding, vehicle routing, constraint solving, graph search.
• Experience designing and maintaining production data models/schemas.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL/Postgres).
• Experience designing, building, and supporting APIs used by other services.
• Ability to make practical system design decisions with clear tradeoffs.
• Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and move problems forward independently.
• Product and technical judgment to contribute ideas while delivering on priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build backend software that coordinates a live fleet of bots and plans collision-free routes.
• Develop systems for assigning tasks to bots based on state and priorities.
• Implement planning logic for storage and retrieval workflows.
• Support continuous replanning as work changes while maintaining fleet efficiency.
• Maintain accurate system state across digital model and warehouse environment.
• Build recovery workflows for divergences between software and physical state.
• Improve observability into planning cycles, task execution and system behavior.
• Design and maintain backend services, APIs and data models for orchestration and fleet operations.
• Integrate customer warehouse workflows and WMS data for deployment and operation.
• Collaborate with software, robotics, product, and customer teams to deliver reliable orchestration.
