Mytra Robotics is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build the fleet orchestration backend that coordinates a live bot fleet, plans collision-free routes, and manages task assignment in dynamic warehouse environments.

You’ll design APIs, maintain data models, and collaborate across software, robotics, product, and customer teams to deliver reliable orchestration in production while improving observability and system resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Experience solving search, routing, scheduling, planning, or optimization problems.
• Familiarity with algorithmic problem spaces such as multi-agent path finding, vehicle routing, constraint solving, graph search.
• Experience designing and maintaining production data models or schemas, including safe evolution.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, especially SQL or Postgres.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting APIs used by other services, systems, or teams.
• Ability to make practical system design decisions and understand tradeoffs.
• Strong ability to work through ambiguity and move problems forward independently.

Responsibilities

• Build backend software that coordinates a live fleet of bots, including planning collision-free routes across a shared space.
• Develop systems for assigning tasks to bots based on fleet state, dependencies, timing constraints, and priorities.
• Implement planning logic for storage and retrieval workflows in warehouses.
• Support continuous replanning as work is added, canceled, or disrupted while keeping the fleet efficient.
• Maintain accurate system state across digital model and physical warehouse.
• Design and maintain backend services, APIs, and data models for orchestration and fleet operations.
• Integrate customer warehouse workflows and WMS data to support deployment and operation of the platform.
• Collaborate with software, robotics, product, and customer teams to deliver reliable orchestration in production.
