Job summary

Invaluable is a leading online live auction marketplace seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to deliver features, improve performance, and shape backend standards. You’ll work with product, design, and engineering partners, mentor teammates, and help drive long-term reliability while operating fully remote from anywhere in the United States during east coast business hours.

• 5–7+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and another language.
• Experience with legacy codebases and modernization.
• Strong automated testing experience.
• Focus on clean, maintainable code and pragmatic AI-assisted development.
• Good technical judgment and communication.
• Collaborative, with pairing and code reviews.

Responsibilities
