Job summary

TeamSnap is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to shape scalable backend services used by millions of users. You will work in a fully distributed engineering team, primarily with Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL, across a fast-moving product.

You will participate in on-call duties, drive reliability, and collaborate with product teams to deliver robust features in a remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience leading large projects on high-scale distributed software systems.
• Proficiency in backend development with Node.js, Python, Golang, Ruby or similar.
• Experience designing APIs and services for web/mobile at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging experiences for millions of users across mobile and web apps.
• Design scalable apps and services, integrated into evolving product architecture.
• Collaborate with product/UX to brainstorm new features.
• Pair with developers to share knowledge and improve code quality.
• Uphold testing standards and overall reliability of backend systems.
• Engage in on-call duties and incident management.
