Job summary

TeamSnap, a fully remote sports and communications platform, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our distributed engineering team. You will work across the stack to build scalable backend services supporting millions of daily users, collaborating with product and UX to shape new features and ensure system reliability.

You’ll design APIs, contribute to a unified product architecture, and participate in on-call incident management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading large projects on high-scale distributed software systems
• Backend development experience with Node, Python, Golang, Ruby or similar

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging experiences for millions of users across web and mobile apps
• Design and implement scalable services integrated into a unified product architecture
• Collaborate with product and UX teams to brainstorm features
• Pair with other developers to build solutions and share knowledge
• Help maintain code quality and development standards across the team
• Champion automated testing to ensure reliability of backend services
• Participate in on-call duties and incident response
• Evaluate new technologies to improve speed and scale
• Assist teammates to overcome blockers and complete tasks
