Job summary

Atlassian seeks a highly capable Backend Engineer to design, build, and ship scalable backend features in a distributed environment. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers in an open, agile workspace and ensure code quality, monitoring, and performance.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of backend experience, with 4 years in RESTful microservices and DBs. Telecommuting is 100% supported; cloud exposure with AWS/GAE/Azure and NoSQL databases is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT/stats/data science or related field with 4 years of experience.
• 4 years designing, building, shipping backend features and RESTful microservices; RDBMS and NoSQL DBs.
• 2+ years with at least 3 languages: Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, or C++; cloud: AWS, GAE, Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship backend features in a scalable distributed environment.
• Review code for readability, tests, docs, reliability, security, and performance.
• Develop backend apps with RESTful microservices and diverse databases.
