Job summary

VetsEZ is a technology company supporting federal government healthcare projects, offering 100% remote work and a focus on secure, scalable healthcare applications. They seek an experienced Backend Engineer to design and develop backend services and APIs that power mission-critical systems.

You will lead architecture and implementation of service-layer logic, mentor engineers, and uphold best practices for reliability, security, and performance in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in backend engineering or software engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with SQL, relational database design, and CI/CD pipelines.

Job description

Requirements:

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience supporting federal healthcare programs or VA initiatives preferred.
• Familiarity with InterSystems IRIS, FHIR APIs, or healthcare interoperability is a plus.
• Experience with containerized deployments, AWS cloud services, or platform modernization desirable.
