RemoFirst, Inc. is seeking a Staff Back-End Engineer to own backend systems with Python and Java, shaping global-scale architectures and services.

This hands-on, remote role requires deep ownership, technical leadership, and collaboration with international engineering, product, and design teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities. You will design, develop, and migrate critical services, drive architectural decisions, promote TDD and CI/CD, and mentor peers in a fast-growing startup

Formación

• 8+ years backend software development experience.
• Strong professional experience with Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
• Strong professional experience with Java, preferably using Spring Boot.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java/Python/SpringBoot/FastAPI/Postgres/Kafka.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Operations, and Sales to build reliable products.
• Architect pragmatic, scalable backend systems and define domain boundaries.
• Promote modern engineering practices: TDD, CI/CD, SRE culture, API-first design.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and learning sessions.
• Own the technical quality and performance of systems in a fully remote setting.
