Job summary

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to join our remote team supporting large-scale government IT systems. You will migrate legacy functionality to cloud-native microservices on AWS GovCloud, collaborate across distributed teams, and ensure reliability for mission-critical platforms.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Java and OO design, strong Kubernetes experience, and a hands-on approach to building scalable, secure software in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development with Java and OO principles.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
• Strong hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, and deployment automation.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures in secure environments.
• Proven ability with event-driven architectures and reliability.
• 3+ of: Kafka, Pub/Sub, streaming, event sources, GitOps, or Atlassian tools.
• Experience with large-scale systems and on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify general software and utility programs.
• Migrate legacy mainframe functionality to cloud-native microservices on AWS GovCloud.
• Operate and support an enterprise-scale production system with the ART.
• Analyze requirements and design scalable software solutions.
• Design and optimize databases within application areas.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and security compliance.
