Job summary

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to modernize government IT systems from legacy to cloud-native microservices on AWS GovCloud. You will design, build, and operate scalable, event-driven software while supporting a national-level mission with on-call responsibilities.

Candidates should have 8+ years of experience with Java, 5+ years in Kubernetes, and strong Cloud-native architecture skills, plus a VA-like security posture for government-grade environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or higher with extensive experience (8+ years or 12+ years with Associate’s degree).
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance is required.
• Experience in Agile, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 5+ years of Java OOP experience.
• 5+ years in Kubernetes and container management; cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and enhance general applications and microservices.
• Migrate legacy mainframe functionality to cloud-native microservices in AWS GovCloud.
• Support enterprise production systems and resolve issues with ART collaboration.
• Analyze user needs and design software solutions.
• Design and optimize databases and data schemas within secure environments.
• Lead and contribute to events-driven and scalable architecture.
