Job summary

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Mid Backend Software Developer to deliver remote support for a federal customer in a fully remote setting. You will design, build, and maintain microservices in a cloud-native architecture, with on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.

The role requires at least a Secret security clearance (Tier 3) and strong Java/Spring Boot experience, plus Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms like AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with relevant software development experience
• Secret security clearance required or ability to obtain
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot in cloud-native environments
• Experience building microservices and REST APIs
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration
• Experience in AWS or other cloud platforms and OpenShift
• Experience with Kafka and messaging brokers
• Familiarity with observability tools and logging/monitoring
• Experience in GitOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe)
• Proficiency with Jira/Confluence and related Atlassian tools
• Ability to write technical documentation for APIs and architectures

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain general software and microservices
• Build and maintain microservices in a cloud-native architecture
• Operate and support enterprise-scale production systems
• Analyze user needs to deliver robust software aligned with goals
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases within ecosystems
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and pair programming
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture teams
• Migrate legacy functionality to cloud-based solutions and Elasticsearch
