Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support scalable backend platforms. The role emphasizes Java microservices, REST APIs, and MongoDB within a cloud-native environment on AWS and Kubernetes.

You will influence architecture, implement secure, observable services, and contribute to production readiness. This contract role offers a path to permanent employment and requires hands-on expertise in event-driven systems, AMQ, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related software engineering experience with strong hands-on backend development expertise in enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering complex backend initiatives across microservices, APIs, AMQ-based messaging, data platforms, cloud-native deployments, and platform modernization.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, MongoDB, AMQ, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support backend capabilities including Java microservices, REST APIs, event-driven services, and AMQ messaging.
• Build scalable, secure, resilient, observable backend services using modern patterns and cloud-native practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and teams to clarify requirements and deliver business outcomes.
• Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, MongoDB, AMQ messaging, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Promote code quality with clean architecture, reviews, automated tests, deployment discipline, security, and production readiness.
• Support production operations via incident triage, monitoring, logging, alerting, and resiliency improvements.
• Mentor peers informally and contribute to reusable backend engineering patterns.
• Promote ownership and continuous improvement within the team, sharing knowledge and documenting solutions.
