Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems with leadership.
• Strong Java and Spring or equivalent backend framework experience.
• Ownership of architecture across services, REST APIs, and security tradeoffs.
• Deep relational database design, migrations, and performance skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for backend services handling reporting, data access, processing, and export.
• Document architectural decisions and balance delivery speed with long-term health.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, API design, and security.
• Translate requirements, review designs, and contribute hands-on code for complex work.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, QA, and partner teams.
