You will collaborate with product partners, apply AI-assisted coding tools, and mentor teammates to ensure dependable delivery while aligning engineering work with business goals.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, writing design proposals, and maintaining high-quality code with practical safety considerations.

Qualifications

• Growth-stage tech company experience; preferably larger late-stage or enterprise-focused smaller company.
• Track record of delivering prod software with AI coding tools.
• Expert-level Node.js and TypeScript skills.
• Hands-on distributed systems and messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• End-to-end technical owner of a significant product area or system.
• Clear, product-minded communication.
• Strong engineering fundamentals to assess machine-generated code quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and build-out of major platform features from concept to release.
• Write design proposals and weigh business rationale for technical changes.
• Plan scalable, fast, dependable systems as demand grows.
• Assess business impact of tech changes; coordinate with other teams.
• Utilize AI coding assistants to write code and verify results.
• Coach engineers and shape the team's technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with product and other functions to keep engineering aligned with business needs.
