Job summary

Raydar, a remote-first AI company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own production data pipelines and the ontology behind our AI platform.

You will report to the CTO in a small team and grow toward technical leadership, balancing hands-on work with mentoring and architecture responsibilities. Based in Amsterdam or London with UK/CET hours, occasional on-site meetups may occur in major hubs.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong production Python skills and ownership of reliable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience supporting AI or machine learning features in production.
• Knowledge of graph databases and vector stores beyond SQL.
• Cloud platform experience (GCP) plus IaC, CI/CD and cloud security.
• UK or EU work authorization.
• Ability to work UK/CET hours and attend team on-sites about every two months.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Python ingestion pipelines into graph databases and vector stores.
• Integrate data warehouses and business apps into ETL/ELT workflows.
• Design the data ontology for accurate retrieval and agent reasoning.
• Own deployment tooling, cloud infrastructure, monitoring and security.
• Shift toward a 60/40 split of engineering and mentoring or architecture leadership.
