Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote engineering team. You will architect and develop robust, scalable backend systems powering our platform, including APIs and databases, while leading a team of engineers in a remote-first environment.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Node.js, Python, Go, or Java, with strong database design experience (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud proficiency across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Senior Backend Engineer or similar role, with extensive experience in building large-scale systems.
• Expertise in one or more backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
