Taboola News is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to own and scale backend services for our fast-growing content recommendation platform. You’ll contribute from design to deployment, working on real-time data pipelines that power personalization for millions of users and OEM partners.

In a hybrid setup, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply strong CS fundamentals, and leverage Java, Spring, and big data technologies to deliver reliable, scalable services and measurable

Competenze

• 3+ years of programming experience in Java or an equivalent OO language.
• A BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, application programming, and multithreading.
• Experience working in a Big Data environment and/or familiarity with A/B testing concepts.

Mansioni

• Take end-to-end ownership of products for some of the world’s largest OEMs, from design and development to deployment, measurement, and maintenance.
• Develop and scale real-time Big Data operations processing over 140 TB of new data every day.
• Build and improve core Taboola News products, including content recommendation and personalization.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable backend services that support millions of users worldwide.
• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver and continuously improve products.
• Measure product performance and use data and KPIs to guide iterations and improvements.
