DualEntry, building the OS for finance, is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and implement real-time accounting logic and robust APIs. You’ll work on architecture, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring while integrating external systems.

We value 5+ years of backend experience (language-agnostic), deep database skills (PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs), and production-ready deployments on AWS. Python-friendly skills with FastAPI/Flask/Django are a plus. Remote-first and equity await.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend engineering, language-agnostic.
• Deep experience with complex business logic products.
• Strong database skills: PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, migrations, schema design.
• Experience deploying on AWS with CI/CD and production-readiness fundamentals.
• Bonus: Python and a modern web framework (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).

Responsibilities

• Build and design backend systems and APIs that run real-time, business-critical accounting logic.
• Ship features end-to-end including architecture, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring.
• Integrate third-party tools and external systems, proactively managing edge cases and risk.
