Job summary

HappyRobot in San Francisco seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer to own meaningful parts of our platform end-to-end. You will design, build, and operate scalable backend services powering AI-driven workflows and real-time infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and founders; ship to production frequently and iterate based on customer needs and system behavior; ensure reliability and observability at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Strong backend engineering experience, with a focus on building scalable systems.
• Experience with Go or willingness to work in Go in production.
• Solid understanding of system design, APIs, data modeling, and service reliability.
• Product-oriented mindset and comfort making tradeoffs in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience operating and maintaining production services.
