Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience.
• Experience with Python and at least one compiled language; eager to learn Rust.
• Experience with Linux and virtualization technologies like Docker.
• Strong written and verbal communication suitable for technical and non-technical staff.
• Collaborative team player with engagement and participation as part of success.
• Solid software engineering practices: testing, debugging, version control, documentation, and code health.
• Desire to continuously improve and learn beyond current expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy reliable, scalable backend services and frameworks for control and calibration of quantum computers.
• Collaborate with scientists, opto-mechanical and electrical engineers to solve complex problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code/design reviews to promote quality.
• Support and debug all layers of the control stack from real-time kernels to distributed services.
• Advocate for modern software development methods and tooling to improve team efficiency.
