This production-first role focuses on building and owning backend services and control frameworks that calibrate neutral atom quantum machines. You will work closely with physicists and hardware engineers to translate complex science into robust software Candidates should have 6+ years in backend development with Python and C++/Rust experience, strong testing and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering and a relevant degree.
• Production-tested Python and hands-on C++ or Rust experience; both is a strong advantage.
• Rigorous engineering discipline: testing, version control, reliability, documentation.
• Experience with scientific data pipelines: NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch, time-series, ETL.
• Background in science or math, with ability to discuss physics in production software.
• Familiarity with statistics, ML, or AMO physics; real-time image analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write, own, and ship production backend services and control frameworks for quantum computers.
• Debug and support all layers of the control stack from embedded kernels to distributed services.
• Build tooling enabling researchers to run experiments independently without translation delays.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Work with experimental data, time-series databases, and real-time image analysis from live systems.
