DevsData LLC, a US-based insurtech innovator, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to design external-facing APIs and integrate third-party services in production-grade systems. You will optimize performance, implement async workflows, and own features end-to-end in a fast-growing environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software engineering, strong Python with AWS (Lambda/EC2), and database expertise (PostgreSQL).

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building external-facing APIs or integrations with third-party systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, or willingness to work in Python.
• Experience with serverless technologies and cloud environments (AWS).
• Experience designing asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases.
• Strong system design, debugging and problem-solving fundamentals.
• Ownership mindset with drive to complete projects.
• Proactive communication and stakeholder updates.
• Comfort with experimentation and rapid iteration.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build external-facing API endpoints for core customer workflows.
• Integrate platform with a wide range of third-party services.
• Translate product requirements into reliable business logic.
• Improve database and query performance across the platform.
• Diagnose and resolve customer issues as they arise.
• Contribute to a faster, more stable, easier-to-use platform.
• Build scalable backend solutions to support growth.
• Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers globally.
• Take ownership of features from concept to production.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
