Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Engineer for Pyroscope in a fully remote role. You will own meaningful projects end to end, from concept to rollout, and help shape the next generation of profiling and observability capabilities within Grafana.

You will design and operate core components of a distributed database, balancing performance, cost, and complexity. Collaboration across Grafana squads and active participation in on-call and open-source engagement are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with a systems language (Go preferred) and multi-tenant cloud services.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance, and reliability.
• Ability to work in a fully remote, asynchronous environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to rollout across Pyroscope and Grafana stack.
• Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database: ingestion, storage, query.
• Collaborate with App Observability, Alloy, Tempo, and other squads to integrate profiling features.
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident reviews and post-mortems.
• Engage with open-source community and guide external contributions.
