Job summary

Zoom is seeking a software engineer on the platform team to build reliable APIs and data infrastructure that shape the customer experience. You will own features end-to-end and collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to translate customer problems into scalable designs.

The role requires 6+ years in backend engineering, a CS degree or equivalent, and strong experience with AWS, Postgres, and Node.js.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in software engineering, backend systems and API development.
Solid hands-on experience with AWS, Postgres, and Node.js, including production deployments.

Responsibilities

Design and build infrastructure, data models, and APIs powering core platform features.
Ship well-designed, testable code with focus on performance and reliability.
Develop testing, validation procedures, and technical documentation to uphold quality.
Own core internal infrastructure and ML systems for evolving customer needs.
Analyze complex system challenges and deliver scalable, observable solutions.
