Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Software Engineer on the platform team to own and deliver full features, building reliable APIs and data infrastructure that shape the customer experience. You will collaborate with backend, application, and front-end engineers to translate customer problems into scalable, maintainable solutions.

This role emphasizes performance, observability, and long-term reliability, with a structured hybrid work approach balancing office and remote work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of software engineering experience, backend focus.
Experience with AWS, Postgres, and Node.js in production.
Proficient with modern stacks including GraphQL, React, and APIs.
Demonstrated ownership of large-scale backend projects and code quality.

Responsibilities

Design and build infrastructure, data models, and APIs powering core platform features.
Ship well-designed, testable code with focus on performance and reliability.
Develop testing, validation procedures, and technical documentation.
Own core internal infrastructure and ML systems for evolving customer needs.
Analyze complex systems and deliver scalable, observable solutions with SLA compliance.
