Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Payments team within the Platform organization.

You will design and build scalable backend services for payment processing, owning features end-to-end and collaborating with product and leadership to expand payment capabilities globally. You will work on API-driven platforms, improve reliability and observability, and contribute to best practices in service-oriented architectures while navigating a remote-first, hybrid work model with

Competenze

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building production services in a microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages with scalable, low-latency APIs and distributed systems experience.
• Track record of owning features end-to-end from design to production support in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience with financial systems or high-volume transactional systems requiring precision and auditability.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend services for payment processing using Go.
• Own end-to-end delivery of payment features from design to production deployment and monitoring.
• Build platform primitives and self-serve APIs for other teams to add new payment methods and rails.
