Raid Base is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own and deliver backend features powering an open-world PvPvE game. You will collaborate with game designers to refine the player journey from login to in-game systems, building scalable, secure online services across player data, world servers, and analytics. You own what you ship.

Qualifications

• Solid CS fundamentals (OOP, async programming).
• Experience with distributed systems architectures.
• Experience programming in Java or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience developing in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Empathy for players from different backgrounds and motivations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical solutions across an open-world, sandbox PvPVE game from login to player data to internal tooling.
• Set delivery expectations with key stakeholders.
• Own problems brought to your attention and ensure they are addressed.
• Provide insight into new and existing systems to improve quality.
