Job summary

Grafana Labs, a remote-first company, is seeking engineers for the Mimir Squad to design, build, and operate scalable telemetry databases (Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope) across cloud providers. You’ll contribute to the Grafana Cloud platform and open-source projects, with on-call duties and collaboration across a global team.

Qualifications

• Proficient in at least one programming language. Go preferred; familiarity with Python, C, C++, or Rust is a plus.
• Experience with building reliable distributed systems and cloud services.
• Strong collaboration and communication in a fully remote team.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in shaping roadmap and personal career objectives.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on results.
• Drive projects from concept to production and operations.
• Contribute to open-source projects related to the cloud product.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems with focus on reliability and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own the services you run.
• Mentor teammates and engage in design discussions.
