Job summary

Grafana Labs is a remote-first company seeking engineers for the Mimir squad to maintain and enhance Grafana Cloud metrics, logs, traces, and profiles across major cloud providers. You will influence roadmaps, ship features, and participate in on-call rotations while collaborating across a distributed team.

The role expects familiarity with Go (or similar languages) and experience with cloud deployments, observability tools, and on-call practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred) and familiarity with Python, C, C++, or Rust translates well.
• Experience delivering software in cloud environments or systems engineering concepts.
• Ability to work in a fully remote, globally distributed team and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Influence roadmap and career objectives within the team.
• Deliver new features and iterate based on results.
• Drive projects from idea to production and operations.
• Contribute to open-source projects and cross-team initiatives.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain reliable, high-performance systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own the services you run.
• Collaborate with teammates and participate in design discussions.
• Learn about Grafana Cloud, its customers, and the codebase of a distributed system.
