Job summary

RRC - Ruiz Recruiting & Consulting is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design and ship core backend features for a pioneering AI-driven workflow platform.

You will own architecture, drive scalable Node.js/TypeScript services, and mentor engineers, collaborating with Product and DevOps to deliver reliable software. You will help build an observability-rich production environment, enforce security best practices, and lead major initiatives from concept to production, ensuring high availability

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production software engineering experience with hands-on Node.js/TypeScript in real-world environments.
• 4+ years architecting and scaling production systems with design patterns and high availability.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams; proven project leadership from scoping to delivery.
• Hands-on experience ensuring production services are healthy with observability and on-call readiness.
• Solid security focus; familiarity with enterprise compliance frameworks like SOC 2 Type II.
• Commitment to high-quality engineering lifecycles: coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend services that power the workflow automation platform.
• Modernize code review processes with CTO to keep delivery fast yet reliable.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and establish CI/CD and testing standards.
• Own technical execution of major initiatives, breaking down goals into sprints.
• Embed rate-limiting, idempotency, and multi-tenant isolation in architecture.
• Support SOC 2 Type II compliance and enterprise security posture.
• Maintain highly observable platform and participate in incident response and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and customers to translate feedback into reliable software.
