Job summary

GoGoGrandparent is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer skilled in Node.js and TypeScript to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with product managers, and improve the codebase through thoughtful refactoring while driving reliability and performance in production.

You will work across the full lifecycle—from planning to deployment—mentoring peers and shaping technical standards within a remote, fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience with Node.js and Vue.js.
• Ability to work US time zone or with 4+ hours overlap with mainland US.
• Strong ownership mindset and initiative on features/problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver backend features using Node.js/Typescript with high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own tasks end-to-end from implementation to testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues promptly.
• Refactor code for maintainability, performance, and reliability.
• Review pull requests and uphold engineering standards.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to improving team processes.
