Job summary

Flutter International plc is seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services powering our Martech stack. You will work with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript in a microservices architecture, delivering secure, maintainable solutions and mentoring others across multiple markets.

You will own architecture decisions, collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams, and drive improvements in performance, observability, and security.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development with Node.js in production.
• Strong hands-on experience with NestJS and TypeScript.
• Solid microservices architecture knowledge and distributed systems experience.
• Proven design of RESTful APIs and secure authentication (JWT/OAuth).
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated delivery pipelines.
• English level: B2 or higher (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain microservices with clear contracts and resilient communication.
• Design REST APIs and service-to-service integration with proper versioning.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and align with engineering guidelines.
• Integrate external APIs and third-party platforms for Martech workflows.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and security of backend systems.
• Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the engineering bar.
