Remotebase is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own production operations, build and maintain APIs, and ensure reliable data flows in a SaaS environment. You will work with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure to drive robust, scalable backend services.

You will mentor peers, implement secure multi-tenant design, and lead incident responses while keeping runbooks and architecture up to date. This role is fully remote with flexible scheduling.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience or equivalent expertise.
• Strong production experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and API design.
• Experience operating a SaaS application and diagnosing incidents to improve reliability.
• Judgment around transactions, concurrency, idempotency, schema migrations, and data recovery.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, multi-tenant systems, and handling sensitive data.
• Familiarity with GCP or comparable managed cloud infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Own production application operations including runtime configuration, feature flags, health checks, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain APIs, shared business logic, and database queries within the monorepo.
• Plan and validate database migrations and develop safe recovery procedures.
• Maintain integrations for payments, email, storage, AI, and e-signature with webhook retries and reconciliation.
• Enforce permissions, protect sensitive data, and maintain audit coverage for privileged actions.
• Lead incident diagnosis and remediation with DevOps for infrastructure, release readiness, and recovery.
• Write tests and review code; mentor other engineers.
• Keep runbooks and architectural documentation current.
