Job summary

CrewBloom, Inc is hiring a Senior Backend Developer for a fully remote role. You will design APIs, model databases, and build scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

Join a distributed team, mentor juniors, and drive TDD, CI/CD, and agile practices with Jira. Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS serverless, and NestJS is a strong plus. Remote work from the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong PostgreSQL design and management experience.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS) and serverless.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Hands-on API design and database modelling.
• Proficient in applying design patterns and best practices.
• Experience in an Agile environment using JIRA.
• Good problem-solving and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Use NestJS to build scalable, modular applications.
• Develop and manage PostgreSQL databases and models.
• Create robust API designs and data schemas.
• Build AWS Lambda functions and integrate AWS services.
• Integrate backend with third-party systems.
• Apply design patterns for clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with front-end and stakeholders on architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Work in an Agile Scrum workflow using Jira.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Drive Test-Driven Development and quality coding practices.
• Lead by example in software development and deployment.
