Job summary

Nuitée is seeking a backend engineer to own the backend of a white-label travel platform, shaping architecture, leading vertical integrations, and staying hands-on in code. You will set standards, make decisions, and drive reliability as we scale.

The role is backend-heavy and product-driven. You’ll work with Node.js and TypeScript, design REST APIs, and collaborate with the backend lead and engineers to deliver flexible, scalable foundations for multiple clients.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years in backend engineering, including 2+ years of production Node.js and TypeScript.
• Designed REST APIs and relational schemas in PostgreSQL.
• Experience with background jobs, schedulers, or workers that talk to third‑party systems.
• Approximately two years hands‑on AWS experience to run a product with real traffic.
• Took ownership of a product’s outcomes and led technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the backend architecture and integrations for new verticals.
• Shape design decisions, write code, and stay hands-on in production.
• Build scalable schedulers, workers, and cron jobs.
• Collaborate with backend lead and engineering leadership.
