Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend for Loan Origination and Reporting. This remote US role focuses on building scalable data platforms processing real-time loan originations and delivering accurate reporting to partners.

You will own quarterly goals, lead engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and analytics. Strong ownership, excellent coding discipline, and experience with Spark/Airflow and AWS are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building backend systems at scale (Python or Kotlin).
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in scalable data pipelines (Spark, Airflow).
• Designs for simple, extensible components with high quality code.
• Strong ownership and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly team goals.
