Job summary

Affirm is seeking an experienced backend engineer to lead the development and scaling of data platforms for real-time loan origination and financial reporting. You will own quarterly goals, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and design teams to solve complex technical problems.

The role requires 4+ years in backend systems with Python or Kotlin, plus expertise in AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes, and Spark or Airflow to build scalable data pipelines and robust services.

Qualifications

4+ years of backend experience in Python or Kotlin.
Experience with distributed systems on AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with scalable data pipelines using Spark or Airflow.
