Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – Java to join the Launchpad team. The role focuses on building and maintaining RESTful APIs, with a strong Spring stack and event-driven components to support merchant onboarding on the Worldpay platform.

Qualifications

• Design and build RESTful APIs using Java and Spring technologies.
• Participate in full SDLC from analysis to deployment and support.
• Define API standards, patterns, and best practices with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring.
• Collaborate with architects to shape API standards and architecture.
• Write tested code and participate in code reviews (JUnit, Mockito).
• Troubleshoot issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Create technical docs and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
• Mentor teammates and drive improvements in an Agile environment.
