Worldpay is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – Java to join our Launchpad team and help shape the future of global commerce.

This hybrid role is based in Denver, CO or Cincinnati, OH with 3 onsite days in Cincinnati and 2 in Denver. You will design RESTful APIs, implement microservices with Java/Spring, and collaborate with global teams to deliver secure, scalable applications.

Salary range is $113,600.00-$171,575.00 annually with potential bonus; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring stack.
• Full software development lifecycle participation and code reviews.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven designs, and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Validation, Spring Modulith.
• Collaborate with architects to define API standards and best practices; ensure secure, scalable enterprise apps.
• Troubleshoot, improve performance, and contribute to documentation and architecture discussions.
