Job summary

Worldpay, LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – Java to join the Launchpad team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven components using Java and Spring technologies, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions.

You will own the full software development lifecycle, collaborate with architects, and contribute to architectural discussions while mentoring teammates in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Validation, Spring Modulith.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and production support.
• Write clean, well-tested code with JUnit and Mockito and participate in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and maintenance of RESTful APIs and event-driven components.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise applications with modern testing practices.
• Document architecture decisions and communicate status, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders.
