Worldpay is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer - Java to join the Launchpad team and help shape the future of global commerce. Build secure, scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven services that power merchant onboarding on the Worldpay platform.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and Spring ecosystem with REST API design.
• Experience building scalable backend services and testing.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven applications using Java and Spring stack.
• Participate in full SDLC from requirements to deployment and production support.
• Collaborate to define API standards, architecture, and best practices.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues and drive improvements.
• Create technical documentation and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate ownership and mentor team members in an Agile environment.
