Lorhan Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and enhance scalable backend systems. The role focuses on cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven patterns, with hands-on expertise in Kafka and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of backend experience, strong Java/Python skills, and a track record of delivering high-performance, low-latency solutions within distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Extensive experience with microservices and RESTful or asynchronous APIs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and scalability.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with event streaming/messaging (Apache Kafka or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in complex, evolving technical environments.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend services.
• Build and support event-driven and asynchronous systems using Apache Kafka or equivalent messaging platforms.
• Engineer low-latency, high-throughput systems with strong resiliency and fault tolerance.
• Optimize performance for compute-intensive and data-intensive workloads.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, DevOps, and Front Office teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and production readiness assessments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Establish engineering standards, promote best practices, and mentor team members.
