Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Backend) to design and operate scalable backend systems that support high-volume consumer experiences. You will work across distributed services, data storage, and cloud infrastructure to improve reliability, performance, and developer productivity.

This role collaborates with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver resilient technical solutions in a fast-moving environment, with a focus on Java and Node.js backends, Kafka, AWS/Azure,

Formación

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production-grade backend services at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Node.js, with distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and Redis.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and build scalable backend services using Java and Node.js
• Model complex distributed domains with Domain Driven Design and event-driven patterns
• Design robust asynchronous workflows using Kafka, AWS SQS, and SNS
• Define SLIs/SLOs and lead production incident response for reliability
• Optimize data architecture across relational, analytical, and caching layers
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on AWS/Azure with Kubernetes
• Collaborate with and mentor cross-functional Agile teams to promote engineering excellence
