Job summary

Highbrow Technology Inc in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications. You will build RESTful services with Spring Boot, and contribute to distributed, event-driven architectures in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Core Java, microservices, and messaging with Kafka, along with AWS exposure and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Core Java (Java 8+) and modern OO design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

The role requires hands-on experience in building distributed, event-driven systems, along with exposure to AWS, Kafka, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications
• Build and implement RESTful services using Spring Boot framework
• Develop scalable, resilient solutions using event-driven and distributed architectures
• Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka for asynchronous processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and code deployment processes
• Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

Required Skills (Primary)

• Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8+)
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework
