Job summary

Rustify is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and build the management layer for a distributed embedded system. You will shape policy structures, config storage, reliability, and secret management engines to enable a robust product line.

The role requires 5+ years in backend or full-stack engineering and strong expertise in APIs, security, and cloud/DevOps concepts. Onsite in the United States (KY/Northern) with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience.
• Proficient in Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, or similar.
• Experience designing RESTful or gRPC APIs for highly available systems.
• Experience with policy engines and policy-as-code.
• Strong security and secret storage knowledge.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• IoT/Embedded experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the management layer for a distributed embedded system.
