Job summary

Dragos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the leading xOT Security Platform. You will design, implement, and optimize Rust-based backend services within a matrix engineering organization.

You will participate in all development lifecycle phases, stay current with Rust and security principles, and collaborate with remote teams to deliver reliable software for critical infrastructure protection. Strong communication in a remote-first environment is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems in fast-paced environments.
• Cybersecurity experience is required.
• 3+ years with PostgreSQL databases.
• 3+ years with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch.
• 3+ years in microservices architectures.
• Proficient in Rust or demonstrated ability to become proficient quickly.
• Experience integrating with third-party devices and data providers.
• Experience applying AI tools in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, testable, high-performance backend systems in Rust.
• Optimize architectures to improve speed and efficiency.
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including debugging and optimization.
• Stay informed on Rust, security, and software design best practices.
• Provide and receive peer feedback within the team review cycle.
