Job summary

Affirm's Payments International Engineering team builds and operates the systems that enable bank and card payments across our international markets. Based in Europe with teammates in the UK, Spain and Poland, we provide familiar local ways to pay while enabling global expansion with secure, scalable backend services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience using Python or Kotlin.
• Track record delivering highly available distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics in ideation and decisions.
• Identify and solve project, process, technology or business issues.
• Support operations and on-call efforts and monitor artifacts.
• Set and promote code review and design standards beyond the team.
