Job summary

Antidote Health is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own and scale the engine behind its digital HMO. You’ll develop scalable backend services, orchestrate secure, real-time data flows, and build robust APIs powering patient-facing features.

For engineers within commuting distance to NYC, the role offers hybrid work 2 days per week; others may work full-time remote. Collaborate with product, design and partners to deliver secure, high-quality systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and Django fundamentals.
• Relational database design and optimization (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Cloud-native architecture and distributed systems experience (GCP or equivalent).
• Kubernetes and containerization knowledge.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement resilient, low-latency APIs and backend architectures.
• Design scalable data models and optimize query performance.
• Implement unit and integration testing strategies.
• Collaborate with product, design and business to deliver solutions.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of backend systems.
• Architect secure integrations with external healthcare systems and partners.
• Leverage AI tools to improve velocity and code quality.
